The Feed in Tariff, perhaps better described as a generation tariff, pays 21p for every kWh you generate. Plus, you will be allowed to use the electricity you produce. What's more, if you don't use it and export some back into the grid, you'll be paid an additional 3.1p for every kWh. It's not just a flash in the pan, either. The FIT payments are guaranteed by the Government for 25 years and provide a return on your investment of about 8% per annum for a domestic property.
